It takes a lot of effort and real talent to design something that is so pleasing to the eye that it makes you want to just sit there and stare. This Human Rights Arts & Film Festival website is kinda like that for me. I really like the website design that use bright colors and include illustrations of nature. It really brings a site to life. The little snail moving along the top adds the cuteness element.

Cute mosaic design. Very nicely done, lawn with flowers and a sprinkler. I like how they decided to go this way rather than having a picture of a plumber or something like that. This inspires creative ideas to present not-so-appealing things in a pleasant way on a website.

A very nice navigation design. Colorful and kinda cartoony (with the comic sans looking font and all) yet very professional and clean. There is plenty of “white space”, well “brown space”, which makes it nice and airy, spacious. I also like the little spotlight effects.

This is a sweet graphic! I had to save it for me to look at it again. I don’t know what it is exactly right now but the separation of the letters from the background and the word “perfect” in the middle, the shining lighting and the other graphic effects just make this a masterpiece. Here is a nice idea for a bright, colorful Web 2.0ey logo design. It is clean and appealing. Love the gradient of colors in each of the letters. Gray hair-line border and the slight drop shadow make the logo stand out. The transparent layer of white half-circle over the entire logo makes it have a reflective or glossy look. Nicely done!

This nice, colorful logo belongs to the new Social Media tools site. I like the variety of colors they used in it. Just like eBay and Google, the colors are bright and work well together. The lightbulb icon in the logo gives the assumption that “IZEA” really stands for, or means “IDEA”. Nice short domain too. Notice the container of the logo is a thought or talking bubble like they use in the comics. The green outline keeps the logo nice and tight. Also the shinyness or the 3-d effect brings the logo into the popular Web 2.0 look.

Artsy, colorful, inviting header design is what you will see when you visit Espira Technologias website. This design grabbed my attention right away. This multi-layer design is not hard to put together if you know your Photoshop but coming up with this kind of a colage of shapes, lines and colors takes talant. Hope this one plants a seed of “big design” in your mind.
