I’m sure once you view Min Tran’s blog, it will come as no surprise that I really like it. It’s rich with earth tones and the leather textures are wonderful. I particularly like the way the stitching separates the header from the body of the page. I also like the separation of the main navigation with the creation of the leather scroll. The footer is also nicely put together by remaining consistent with the header style. All together it creates a nice “classic” book feel to it. It also kind of reminds me of an expensive desktop blotter (the kind you see on an executive desk where no one really does much work, haha).
In addition to checking out the layout of this site, please don’t forget to look through the content as well. There are some great resources available here. There’s a really sharp looking set of icons available for free (Milky) too. This is a site that I will be keeping an eye on periodically…it’s full of good stuff!

Here is a cute one. As I was changing the colors on these I thought this one would work well on a baby related website. Cute baby-blue or baby-pink colors look good with this pattern.
Remember, if you need a specific color, just leave a request in the comments and I’ll post it for you.

This is a colorful quilty-looking pattern. After cropping it in Photoshop to make a seamless tile I cut and pasted the design onto a new layer and set the layer Opacity to about 15%. The layer below it gets the maine color. I fill it with dark?blue, black or white and then go back to the design layer and play with the Opacity until I see the look I am looking for.
Remember, if you need a specific color, just leave a request in the comments and I’ll post it for you.

Had enough yet? Here’s another floral one, well kind of floral, it actually looks like a bunch of grapes and a poppy. I don’t know, what do you see in there? A bit smaller pattern design on this one compared to the previous ones.
Remember, if you need a specific color, just leave a request in the comments and I’ll post it for you.

And one more floral one. This one looks a bit like velvet, especially down lower in the dark reds and purple. These just look so good, I can’t resist them.

Nice leafy background from www.ollyhite.com. Make sure you check out the site and see how it works well with the overall design of the website.
