I got an email this morning from Steve over at FlashFramer and he was excited about the new Flash component they just released, it is called photoShuffle. The links I included here are affiliate links so I will get a cut from any purchases that originate here but I really do believe that our readers can benefit from this new tool.

PhotoShuffle allows you to create a dynamic compilation of photos in a random layout simply by going through a few steps setup.

The easy to use setup interface makes the customization of your photo gallery a simple task. You can assign a title and description for each of the photos and choose from 15 available transition effects.
There are so many features, you’ll just need to see their page to get all the information. Go here to see it all.

Because of a reader comment, I have recently discovered Xcavator.net. It’s quite an interesting photo search site. Once you figure out how to use it, it is definitely a time saving site! From this one location, you can search many of the leading stock image websites. Once you’ve found an image you wish to purchase, Xcavator sends you to the page on the site where the image may be purchased. Check it out and let me know your thoughts on it.

This is a final part of a 3 part entry. I’ve been talking about the three of my favorite web design elements on BitsAndPix.de website. I want to file them here for future inspiration.

Look at these clean looking images. The grays, greens and oranges are working great in this design. Notice the 3D look of the reflection or glossiness of each image. Very nicely done.
Part 1 - Fun logo
Part 2 - Text treatment

This is a part 2 of a 3 part entry. BitsAndPix.de has many excellent elements on the site and I want to file three of the best ones here for future inspiration.

The second great element is the way text and the header area is treated. Strong white text with a 1 pixel black or maybe just a darker color outline makes the text pop from the page. I like the background graphic, it’s not just green but the illustration of a city, the sun, birds and the gently faded pattern ballances out the header. I also want to mention the small detail - birds outside of the header border flying in. Adds to the uniqueness fo the site.
Part 1 - Fun logo
Part 3 - Image effects

Need a quick image for a blog post or an article? If you’re cheap (like me, haha), check out Stock Xchng (www.sxc.hu). SXC has over 355,000 images in their database. Best of all…they are all completely free. Free is a great price. The only stipulation is that you must make sure that the image owner has not placed special restrictions on a particular images usage. There are lots of great photos available…you’re sure to find what you need!
