Great Looking Website, But It’s a Bit Annoying

I like the site for Potash Corp., I really do. I like the colors, the simple, easy to use navigation and the landscape background. I also like the way they have used Flash to incorporate certain elements about their company into the introduction. So, what bugs me about it? The inability for me to turn off the music. The music isn’t bad…I just want to be able to control it. I don’t like visiting a site and automatically have music playing. It bugs me, haha. Yes, I can mute it on my own system. But, shouldn’t there be a controller on the site to prevent it from playing if the customer doesn’t want it? I think so. It may seem a bit picky on my part, but it’s something that annoys me. However, with that being said, I still like the site’s layout and color choices. Click through to some other pages and check out the color choices and backgrounds…very nice. But, if you’re like me, make sure you lower the volume on your system first, haha.

I cannot stand websites that play music with no option to turn it off! I don’t even like websites that have the option, but start playing automatically. It’s intrusive, annoying and I don’t usually end up staying at the website very long!

To my mind, the design is great. But tastes differ. I understand.

The music is not too anoying but there should definetly be an Off button.
